Project will be taken up after getting confirmation of Water availability from Department of Water Resourcesas the water availability depends on construction of Ichha dam (in Jharkhand) which is in the upstream of the Jambhira dam.

Views and comments of GEDCOL & GRIDCO (State Nodal Agency) has already been communicated to WAPCOS for preparation of final FR. WAPCOS has been requested to review the geotechnical aspect of the draft FR.

FLOATING SOLAR PROJECTS
Pre-Feasibility Report by EU Consortium	European Union Consortium has conducted studies on 12 hydro & irrigation reservoirs in the State and prepared PFR for approximately 5040 MW floating solar potential on 17,800 acres of water surface area in Nov. 2019 DPR for 2 large scale reservoirs in Hirakud and Indravati with capacity of 500 MW & 160 MW respectively has been prepared by European Union. As per decision of 4th SWC, the proposal will be re-submitted after discussion with RE Nodal Agency GRIDCO, OPTCL and Water Resource Department.

PROJECTS TO BE DEVELOPED UNDER JV MODE

Mandira Small Hydro Project, Sundargarh to be developed under JV mode with SAIL	10	JV formed with SAIL in Sept 2018, namely GEDCOL SAIL POWER CORPORATION LTD (GSPCL) with 74:26 share-holding. The project cost is Approx. Rs.100 Crores. The Letter of Intent has been issued on 23.07.2021 and the Contract Agreement has been signed between GSPCL and HIPL-RSVCPL (JV) on 08.09.2021. M/s WAPCOS has been engaged as Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Zero date of the EPC Contract has been commenced from 16.03.2022 and the project execution work are going on.
Floating Solar Project with NHPC, UMREPP Scheme, MNRE	500	MOU executed with NHPC on 20/07/2020. Project will be taken up in Joint Venture mode with NHPC. The Promoters agreement, MoA and AoA has been signed on 04.01.2022 for formation of JV Company. In the 1st Phase the JV Company is going to implement 300 MW Solar projects on Rengali Reservoir with MNRE approval which will start generating Solar Power within coming two years. GEDCOL has conveyed its consent to NHPC re-tendering on behalf of JV company. Re-tender was floated on 05.04.2023 & BHEL was the single bidder. Price bid opened on 01.09.2023 and price negotiation is under progress.
