| Commencement of construction work of Mandira SHEP | |
| The Bhumi Pujan-cum-Groundbreaking Ceremony for Mandira Small Hydroelectric Project (SHEP), Sundargarh is a momentous occasion, marking the start of a journey towards clean and sustainable energy generation. It was held on dtd. 09.01.2024 at project site in the presence of top management from GEDCOL SAIL POWER CORPORATION LIMITED (GSPCL),ROURKELA STEEL PLANT (RSP), WAPCOS and EPC Contractors, thereby marking the commencement of construction of project work. Sri Amresh Kumar, MD,OHPC-cum-CEO,GSPCL, Sri Ashish Kumar Mohanty, Director (Operation), OHPC and Sri Atanu Bhowmick, Director-in-charge, RSP along with EDs of RSP graced the occasion with their august presence. Mandira SHEP is being implemented by GSPCL with capacity of 10 MW, which is a joint venture company of GEDCOL and SAIL. Entire power generated from the project shall be consumed by RSP, further helping it to offset renewable purchase obligation. |
